Discreet alcohol and substance support for high-profile individuals
I work with people managing alcohol and substance challenges who know something has to change but are not ready to disappear for 30 days. Directed by Sophie Solmini, ICADC, MATS.
The Third Option
"You Cannot Disappear for 30 Days."
Until now, high-profile individuals faced a binary choice: ignore the liability until it causes a crisis, or check into a facility abroad and risk your career. My practice is the third option. I bring the structure, support, and expertise of a residential program directly into your life, without forfeiting your seat at the table.
The Framework
Why Standard Models Fail the High-Performer
The Acceleration Trap
Constant hyper-arousal exhausts the brain's natural brake system. Substances become the only available shutdown mechanism. This is hardware, not character.
The Reward Paradox
Total access and constant success downregulate pleasure receptors. Normal life feels like a void. The substance restores a baseline the brain can no longer reach alone.
Emotional Exhaustion
The prefrontal cortex is metabolically expensive. By 18:00, the internal CEO is offline. The brain is biologically unable to say no. The fuel tank is empty.
How I Work
Four tiers of strategic partnership. Calibrated to the acuity of the situation.
The Methodology
How It Works
Structural Stabilisation
We build the behavioural and environmental structure to break the cycle without isolation or career disruption.
Support in Place
The recovery framework is built directly into your live environment and global travel schedule. You do not step away.
Discreet Oversight
High-frequency accountability and reporting structures that protect your reputation while you maintain full function.
The Process
I Build the Strategy Around You
I Assess Your Situation
Through a confidential briefing, I evaluate your circumstances, risks, and what is truly at stake. No judgment. A strategic assessment.
I Engineer Your Protocol
Your framework is custom. Built around your specific environment, schedule, and personal profile.
I Coordinate Your Circle
I serve as the liaison between your existing advisors, legal counsel, and medical team. Your advisors, legal counsel, and medical team work from the same picture. No gaps, no contradictions.
I Stay With You
Through real-time check-ins and on-demand access, I remain your dedicated partner. This is not a handoff.
Reach
Virtual or In Person. Wherever the Situation Requires.
Virtual Practice
Most engagements begin and continue virtually. I work across regions and time zones, with clients across the DIFC, Dubai, London, and Geneva corridor and beyond.
In Person When Needed
For acute phases or situations that require physical presence, I travel to the client. The default is virtual; the in-person work is calibrated to the moment.
Discreet In-Person Presence
Direct presence during high-risk transitions, without disruption to schedule or surroundings.
Is This You
This Is For You If...
- —
You are a C-suite executive, founder, board member, or public figure managing private challenges while maintaining public performance.
- —
You rely on alcohol or prescription medication to manage relentless pressure and the risks are becoming harder to contain.
- —
You have experienced close calls that threatened your standing and recognise the pattern is unsustainable.
- —
Traditional treatment facilities are not possible due to your visibility. You need support that works around your life, not in place of it.
- —
You require a specialist who understands high-stakes situations involving alcohol or substances. Not generic therapy. Not leadership coaching.
- —
You are an advisor, family member, or family office representative responsible for someone in this situation and need to know who to call.
This Is Not For Everyone
I work with individuals who recognise the situation is escalating and are ready to address it with discretion and expert guidance. If you need a strategic partner who operates at your level and understands what is at stake, we should speak.

Questions Asked Before a First Call
What People Want to Know First
What exactly do you do?
I work with people who cannot step away from their lives to address an alcohol or substance problem. I coordinate the people around them, family, advisors, medical team, household, so the situation can be handled discreetly and without exposure. My role is to make sure everyone is working from the same picture. The support around the client is the right support, organised in the right order. This role has a name in the field: Strategic Clinical Liaison. I work at the clinical interface without practising clinically. All medical care is delivered by licensed physicians independently of this practice.
Is this confidential? Will anyone find out about this engagement?
Every engagement is held under strict confidentiality. There are no public records, no reviews to read, no public client lists. The practice operates by referral only. The framework is built so the people around you cannot tell anything has changed unless you choose to tell them.
How is this different from a sober companion?
A sober companion provides physical presence and accountability, often for someone in early recovery. My role is broader and operates across systems. I coordinate between your medical, legal, family, and household teams to restructure the environment around the situation, rather than placing one supportive person beside you.
Where is the practice based?
The practice corridor is DIFC Dubai, London, and Geneva. Sophie travels to you for in-person work where the situation requires it. The legal registration is UAE management consultancy, with engagements served globally.
How do I begin a conversation?
The entry point is a Confidential Case Formulation, a confidential ninety-minute working session at $950 USD virtual. Travel costs apply for in-person engagements. Reach out through the consultation form on any page. Every conversation is held under strict confidentiality before any commitment is discussed.
